Teaching Friends

It's a totally different feeling teaching a friend how to use tech tools than it is to teach my students. Tonight, I spent some time introducing a fellow blogger and friend to RSS Feeds, widgets and other such frivolities. Her joy at discovering so many new options was gratifying. "This stuff was always there? Really? And I never saw it?" It makes me think of how much I still don't know. I have to get out there and find more of that stuff, and spend less time on the things I already know too well.
