Tech Savvy Parenting Presentation

Last week, I met with a lively and engaging group of parents at the Lab School, Baltimore for a parent education session. I talked about my own particular approach to technology and parenting. I love presenting to parent groups because there is often so much fear when they come in the room and you can literally see a relaxation occur during the meeting...when they leave they look as if their step is lighter. It's all a matter of reminding them that this is a parenting issue just like any other--they don't have to learn all about every new technology tool out there in order to have and maintain boundaries in their home surrounding these issues. The PowerPoint below doesn't really say much because I'm shifting away from "bullet points" to illustrative images, but maybe it's worth a look-see.

In the not-too-distant future, you will be making decisions such as these for your little guy. I wonder what will have changed by then?
