Duck Duck Go

Thanks again to prolific tech Guru Kathy Schrock, I learned about a new kid-safe search engine for the youngest ones, Duck Duck Go. It provides kid-friendly results that are mostly ad-free, with suggestions for more detailed searches on the right hand side. Third graders are learning about searching this month and I'm using it to teach keyword searches.

Check out SweetSearch4Me.com, a search engine based on a whitelist of sites, rather than a porous filter. Not only returns only safe results, but is actually curated to return the very best results for young students. For older students, and adults, see SweetSearch.com

Hi Mark, thanks so much for telling me about your Sweet Search (http://www.sweetsearch.com/) tool. I'm checking it out as we speak and it does seem pretty "sweet."
